  • Equatorial Guinea – Island Country of Volcanoes
    Located in the Gulf of Guinea (Midwest of Africa), Equatorial Guinea is composed of Muni River on continent, Bioko, Annobon, Corisco and other islands within the Gulf of Guinea. The aforesaid islands are volcanic islands, extension of Mount Cameroon in the Gulf of Guinea. At the Bioko island, there are many extinct volcanoes, and the altitude of Stiebel peak in the middle is 3,007 m, ranking to be the highest point nationwide.     In Equatorial Guinea, UnionPay cards are accepted at all ATMs of EcoBank and Société Générale to withdraw Central African CFA Franc.

Daily cashwithdrawal limit from respective issuers and/or ATM may apply. Please consultyour issuer on the possible cap on the amount. You may split your withdrawalsinto several times which comply with the limit(s).

    ATM commission fee consists of two parts:
    (1)Service fee charged by the issuer: please consult the issuer for details.
    (2)Service fee charged by the ATM acquirer in Equatorial Guinea: some ATMs will charge commission fee, which is charged by the local banks in Equatorial Guinea and which has nothing to do with UnionPay or the issuer.


    Cash withdrawal via debit card results in a lower commission fee.
