In cooperation with UnionPay International and National Bank of Pakistan, Huawei launches its mobile wallet service Huawei Pay in Pakistan, making it the 4th market where Huawei Pay has been made available, following Mainland China, Russia and Hong Kong (China).
HUAWEI or HOHOR smartphone users who are also holders of NBP UnionPay Virtual Card can now visit HUAWEI App Gallery to download and install the HUAWEI Wallet app, and enjoy the convenient, secure and quick UnionPay payment experiences brought by Huawei Pay.
On August 31, 2016, Huawei and UnionPay jointly launched Huawei Pay service for China market. On January 26th 2018, Huawei signed a global cooperation agreement with UnionPay in Shenzhen. The two parties jointly agreed to promote Huawei Pay globalization and accelerate overseas implementation. Today we bring Huawei Pay to Pakistan, which is an important milestone and lays a solid foundation for a broader global layout in the future.
This is the first time in Pakistan, UnionPay has launched mobile payment (QRC & NFC) with Huawei. By virtue of customers having Huawei smart phones can make the payments through UnionPay QRC and tap & pay solutions.
