UnionPay International announced today that it has entered into cooperation with Target, one of the largest retail chains in Australia, to have all its stores accept UnionPay cards and enable UnionPay mobile QuickPass.

UnionPay cards are a payment tool favored by the Chinese communities in Australia. To facilitate purchases of local cardholders during the pandemic, UnionPay International has been striving to expand the use case portfolio. Target is a well-known retailer in Australia, with stores operating in cities including Sydney and Melbourne. As a result of this cooperation, UnionPay cardholders can either swipe to pay or make tap-and-go payments at over 250 Target stores.
