- 2025 Macau public bus random instant discount promotion (refers to "Promotion") is valid every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 25 April to 28 December 2025 (i.e. 25-27 April, 2-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25 May, 30-31 May to 1 June, 6-8, 13-15, 20-22, 27-29 June, 4-6, 11-13, 18-20, 25-27 July, 1-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, 29-31 August, 5-7, 12-14, 19-21, 26-28 September, 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, 24-26 October, 31 October to 2 November, 7-9, 14-16, 21-23, 28-30 November, 5-7, 12-14, 19-21 and 26-28 December) (refers to "Promotion Period").
- Designated payment methods: The Promotion is applicable only to the UnionPay Transit QR Code using UnionPay Credit Cards, ATM Cards or Prepaid Cards (refers to “UnionPay Card”) bound to the mobile wallet app (including UnionPay APP, BOC Macau, BNU Pay, 廣發銀行海外, ICBC Mobile Banking APP, Luso Pay, TAI FUNG PAY, UePay) for paying public bus fares.
- Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the Promotion Period, cardholders who successfully pay the public bus fares can enjoy a random instant discount of MOP0.2 to MOP2 upon a single transaction of MOP3 or above (refers to "Offer"). Each eligible transaction is subject to a random instant discount determined by probability: 92% chance to receive a discount of MOP0.2 to 0.3, 7% chance to get MOP0.6 to 0.9 off, and 1% chance to get MOP1.8 to 2 off.
- The random instant discount for each transaction will not exceed the corresponding fare amount.
- The payment for transportation fares using UnionPay Transit Code defaults to adult fares.
- The Offer applies only to transactions processed through the UnionPay network, and is not applicable to transactions made via UnionPay online banking or third-party payment platforms.
- The Offer cannot be exchanged for cash or other products and is non-transferable.
- Each cardholder can enjoy the Offer up to twice per day, and up to 100 times during the entire Promotion Period.
- The actual deduction timing is subject to the timing initiated by each third-party transportation company. Some transportation companies may deduct the accumulated fares covering more than one travel day in a single transaction or delay the deduction. In such cases, the Offer will be granted based on the deduction date rather than the travel date(s). No Offer will be granted if the deduction is conducted within the non-promotion period.
- The total discount budget will be evenly allocated across the entire promotion period. The Promotion for the day will end once the daily budget has been fully used.
- Under all circumstances shall all timestamps of this Promotion (including but not limited to the transaction date/time), transaction amounts, reversal, revocation, cancellation or refund, be based on the UnionPay back-end system records.
- Each eligible transaction is entitled to one reward only. If a transaction qualifies for more than one reward campaign, UnionPay International system reserves the right to determine which reward campaign applies.
- Unless otherwise specified, the Offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions, including the UnionPay Offers and certain sectional fare offers provided by designated public transportation companies involving refunds. The distributed instant discounts will be cancelled upon the fare refunds from the public transportation companies and the quota used will still be counted, except for cross-border consumption exchange rate discounts for which registration has been successfully completed. Currently, the order of discount offers shall be instant discounts first, then the exchange rate discounts.
- The Offer details will neither be shown instantly on the screens of POS machines of the bus companies nor the app of the Bank. Cardholders can refer to the actual amount debited by the issuing bank.
- Users will be considered the same Users if any of the following are the same: device, user ID, mobile number, bank card reserved mobile number, bank card or identity card number.
- The Offer is only applicable to qualified transactions excluding withdrawn, reversed, cancelled, refunded transactions nor fraudulent activities. If the transaction is cancelled by Sociedade de Transportes Colectivos de Macau, S.A or The Transportes Urbanos de Macau S.A.R.L., the Offer will be cancelled and the quota used will still be counted. Since the UnionPay International system cannot identify whether the revocation, cancellation or refund is due to the subjective will of cardholders or other reasons like the system, UnionPay International will disqualify cardholders from enjoying the discount, and reserves the right to pursue legal liability and retrieve the instant discount which has already been granted. The quota originally issued will not be returned after the transaction is withdrawn, cancelled, or refunded/ returned.
- If the transaction is cancelled or refunded, the balance of paid amount will be refunded to the corresponding UnionPay card. The discount amount will not be returned for any manual refund. If the refunded amount after cancellation is incorrect, do contact the UnionPay International customer service hotline for inquiries.
- Participating cardholders will be disqualified for any of the following violations (refers to "Violations"):
a) Fraud transaction; b) Participation in the Promotion for the purpose of illegal profits; c) Participation in the Promotion by maliciously using multiple accounts, participation or assistance in withdrawal of UnionPay resources (including but not limited to offers, coupons or rewards of all kinds); d) Participation in the Promotion by any robot software, spider software, crawler software, spamming software or other automated means; e) Violations of the principle of good faith; f) Implementing other cheating behaviour that is not actually receipt. - If there is any violation during participation in the Promotion, UnionPay International reserves the right to disqualify the cardholders, forfeit the discount, withdraw the discount issued, and decline to allow the cardholders to enrol in any UnionPay International promotions in the future. UnionPay International reserves the right to claim against the offending users according to the seriousness of the circumstances and pursue relevant legal responsibilities.
- It shall be known by the cardholders that all kinds of uncertainties exist on the Internet. UnionPay International reserves the right to suspend the Promotion due to force majeure, communication route failure or large-scale computer hacking etc.
- If the cardholders fail to enjoy the Offer due to their own electronic device problems/network reception/data transfer, or other system issues, UnionPay International does not assume any liability arising from it.
- In the event that this promotion must be suspended due to government orders, or interrupted due to serious cyberattacks or system malfunctions, such circumstances shall be regarded as force majeure events. UnionPay International shall bear no liability for any resulting damages, losses, or disputes.
- The usage of UnionPay APP is bound by other terms and conditions. Cardholders can refer to UnionPay APP for details.
- Non-local cardholders should note that some card types may be affected by the configuration of the card-issuing bank, and need to activate overseas transaction permission in advance, pay close attention to the account balance or spending limit, and get transaction password ready. For details, please contact the relevant card-issuing bank.
- Cardholders shall understand and accept that UnionPay International is not the supplier of the transit services, and therefore unable to obtain information on the cardholder's travel route or the required fare amount. For the fare or service details, please contact the corresponding public transportation companies for inquiries. UnionPay International will not assume any responsibility for the related transit services.
- Cardholders must carefully read and fully understand all the terms and conditions of the Promotion. Participation in the Promotion constitutes an acceptance of all terms and conditions of the Promotion.
- UnionPay International reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions in the Chinese and English versions within the limits allowed by applicable laws. UnionPay International does not assume any liability arising from any changes of the Promotion or terms. All information is subject to the content announced through official channels of UnionPay International.
- For any discrepancy between the terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
