- 2025 UnionPay Mobile Contactless Payment In-store Instant Discount Promotion in Macau is valid every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 25 April to 31 August 2025 (i.e. 25-27 April, 2-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25 May, 30-31 May to 1 June, 6-8, 13-15, 20-22, 27-29 June, 4-6, 11-13, 18-20, 25-27 July, 1-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, 29-31 August) (refers to "Promotion Period").
- Designated payment method：The Promotion is applicable only to visitors to Macau who use UnionPay cards issued outside Macau (refers to "UnionPay Card") bound to the Apple Wallet in iPhone and Apple Watch (refers to "Apple Pay") or other Mobile Contactless Payment, to make purchases at physical stores in Macau.
- Registration for instant discounts: Prior to conducting eligible transactions, visitors must register their UnionPay Card issued outside Macau separately for the two offers ("Offer 1" and "Offer 2"), via the UnionPay App or WeChat Mini Program. Then, edit the payment information in the "Settings" on iPhone or Apple Watch, or wallet app in other mobile devices to set the registered UnionPay Card as the default payment method (the default card is placed at the top of all payment options). Transactions can only be made at least 3 minutes after completing the card registration.
- During the Promotion Period, use a registered UnionPay Card via Mobile Contactless Payment, such as Apple Pay, to complete a single in-store transaction at merchants in Macau to enjoy an instant discount of MOP88 by spending MOP888 or more (refers to "Offer 1); or an instant discount of MOP5 by spending MOP100 or more (refers to "Offer 2).
- Each successfully registered UnionPay Card can only enjoy the Offer once per day. During the Promotion Period, each card is entitled to enjoy Offer 1 once and Offer 2 up to five times.
- Registration does not guarantee the availability of the Offer. Redemption is subject to the daily quota usage.
- To be eligible for the Offer, the full transaction must be completed through the UnionPay network.
- Split transactions will not be accepted, i.e., the full amount of the transaction must be settled using the same UnionPay Mobile Contactless Payment account. Therefore, the transaction amount shown on the machine-printed merchant sales invoice must be identical to the transaction amount on the sales slip. Any photocopied, amended, handwritten, or reprinted invoices or sales slips will not be accepted. UnionPay International Company Limited (refers to "UnionPay International") reserves the right to reject any receipts suspected of being invalid, forged, or issued for spurious transactions, or for any other reason, without the need for explanation.
- The Cardholder must ensure that the card information provided during registration is complete, true, and accurate. If the registered card number does not match the actual payment card number, the Cardholder will not be eligible for the Offer and shall bear full responsibility. UnionPay International shall not be held liable.
- If the Cardholder cancels the registration of the registered UnionPay Card, the card will no longer be eligible for the Offer.
- The total offer quota will be evenly allocated across the promotion days. Promotion ends once the daily amount is used up. The actual deduction timing is subject to the timing initiated by the merchant(s). The progress bar displayed on the registration page is for reference only and may not reflect real-time availability of the remaining quota.
- After the Cardholder has successfully enjoyed the Offer, UnionPay International will send a notification message regarding the Offer to the mobile number registered by the Cardholder.
- Under all circumstances, the transaction date, transaction time, transaction amount, transaction type, cancellation, reversal, refund/return transactions, and all timestamps related to this Promotion shall be based on the records maintained by UnionPay's backend system. For pre-authorized transactions, the actual posting date of the pre-authorization transaction shall prevail.
- Unless otherwise specified, this Offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions, except for the cross-border consumption exchange rate discounts for which the Cardholder has successfully registered. Currently, the order of discount offers shall be instant discounts first, then the exchange rate discounts.
- Each eligible transaction is entitled to one reward only. If a transaction qualifies for more than one reward campaign, UnionPay International system reserves the right to determine which reward campaign applies.
- This Offer cannot be exchanged for cash or other products and is non-transferable.
- Eligible transactions for this Offer do not include transactions involving the following types of merchants or products: regulatory restricted merchants, merchants categorized as high-risk accounts and other restricted merchants, and auction merchants; consumption vouchers, delivery coupons, welfare cards, face-value cards, gift cards, freebie cards, prepaid cards, e-coupons, membership cards, points cards, discount cards, parking cards, cash vouchers, gift certificates, value-added cards, or any other stored-value products/services (whether in electronic or physical form); cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, investment gold bars, gold grains, bars and other products of gold saving clubs; shoe coupons, soup coupons, beverage coupons, food coupons, cake cards, and wedding coupons; insurance premium payments, money exchange shops, tuition/membership/any other monthly fees, bill payments, telecommunication fees, purchase of calling cards, trade-in transactions or product redemptions; government services, public schools, public utilities, charities, social services and public transportation services (including the purchase or top-up of Octopus cards); and do not include transactions that are withdrawn, cancelled, refunded/returned, counterfeit, forged, unsettled, or found to be fraudulent and ineligible transactions specified by UnionPay International from time to time.
- This Promotion only supports eligible transactions. In the event that the Cardholder's related transaction is revoked, cancelled, or refunded/returned, or if the Cardholder engages in any malpractice or fraudulent activity, UnionPay International's system is unable to determine whether such revocation, cancellation, or refund/return is due to the Cardholder's subjective intent or other factors such as system errors. As such, UnionPay International reserves the right to disqualify the Cardholder from enjoying the offer, pursue legal liability, and reclaim the instant discount amount of MOP88 or MOP5 that has already been granted. The quota corresponding to the revoked, cancelled, or refunded/returned transaction will not be returned. The actual payment amount shall be subject to the actual deduction information of the card issuer.
- If there is any violation during participation in the Promotion, UnionPay International reserves the right to disqualify the Cardholder, forfeit the discount, withdraw the discount issued, and decline to allow the Cardholder to enrol in any UnionPay International promotions in the future. UnionPay International reserves the right to claim against the offending Cardholder according to the seriousness of the circumstances and pursue relevant legal responsibilities.
- It shall be known by the Cardholder that all kinds of uncertainties exist on the Internet. UnionPay International reserves the right to suspend the Promotion due to force majeure, communication route failure or large-scale computer hacking etc.
- If the Cardholder fail to enjoy the Offer due to his/her own electronic device problems/network reception/data transfer, or other system issues, UnionPay International does not assume any liability arising from it.
- The Cardholder should note that some card types may be affected by the configuration of the card-issuing bank, and need to activate overseas transaction permission in advance, pay close attention to the account balance or spending limit, and get transaction password ready. - The Cardholder shall understand and accept that UnionPay International is not the supplier of the products/services purchased, and therefore shall not be held liable for any matters relating to such products or services.
- Participation in the promotion constitutes an acceptance of all terms and conditions of the promotion.
- For any discrepancy between the terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
