The Hong Kong Express × UnionPay Cardholder Exclusive Travel Offer (refers to “Promotion”) is jointly launched by Hong Kong Express Airways Limited (refers to “Hong Kong Express”) and UnionPay International Company Limited (refers to “UnionPay International”). The Promotion is valid from 10:00a.m. on 2 September 2026 to 11:59p.m. on 31 October 2026 (Hong Kong time) and is divided into the following two Promotion Periods:
(1) Promotion Period 1: From 10:00a.m. on 2 September 2026 to 11:59p.m. on 7 September 2026.
(2) Promotion Period 2: Every Tuesday to Thursday from 8 September to 31 October 2026, i.e. 8–10,15–17, 22–24, 29–30 September; 1, 6–8, 13–15, 20–22, 27–29 October 2026. The Promotion runs from 12:00a.m. to 11:59p.m. on each Promotion Day.
During the Promotion Period, the Promotion on each Promotion day may end early once the relevant quotas are fully utilized, without prior notice. The transaction date and time shall be determined based on UnionPay's system records.
The Promotion is only applicable to UnionPay Credit Cards issued in Hong Kong, China or Macao, China with card number starting with 62 (refers to “UnionPay Card”).
UnionPay Cardholders must register separately for Promotion Period 1 and Promotion Period 2 via the respective designated UnionPay promotion by entering their UnionPay Card number. Separate registration is required for each Promotion Period, and registration for Promotion Period 1 will not automatically carry over to Promotion Period 2. Upon successful registration, it will take approximately 2 minutes for the Promotion eligibility to be activated. Cardholders should wait at least 2 minutes after successful registration before using the registered UnionPay Card to purchase flight tickets via the Hong Kong Express official website or mobile app. To be eligible for the applicable instant discount, bookings and payments must be made in Hong Kong dollars (HKD).
During Promotion Period 1, UnionPay Cardholders who use a UnionPay Card that has been successfully registered for the Promotion to purchase flight tickets via the Hong Kong Express official website or mobile app can enjoy an additional HK$288 instant discount on a single booking with an actual amount payable of HK$2,388 or above (i.e. the remaining amount payable after applying the promo code). Quotas apply on a first-come, first-served basis. The Promotion ends once the quotas are fully utilized.
During Promotion Period 1, UnionPay Cardholders can also use the exclusive promo code for UnionPay Card【UNIONPAY】provided by Hong Kong Express to enjoy up to 15% off base fares when purchasing flight tickets for selected routes. During Promotion Period 1, transactions that meet the eligibility requirements for both the UnionPay Instant Discount Offer and the Hong Kong Express exclusive promo code for UnionPay may enjoy both offers in conjunction. Cardholders must first apply the Hong Kong Express exclusive promo code for UnionPay to the booking. To be eligible for the UnionPay Instant Discount Offer, the actual amount payable for a single booking after applying the promo code must be HK$2,388 or above.
During Promotion Period 2, UnionPay Cardholders who use a UnionPay Card that has been successfully registered for the Promotion to purchase flight tickets from Hong Kong Express and settle the payment in Hong Kong dollars can enjoy HK$188 instant discount on a single booking with an actual amount payable of HK$2,388 or above. Quotas apply for each day on a first-come, first-served basis. The Promotion ends once the quotas are fully utilized.
Each eligible UnionPay Card can enjoy the Instant Discount Offer once in Promotion Period 1 and Promotion Period 2 respectively.
After successful registration and activation of the Promotion eligibility, cardholders should check the remaining quotas for the Instant Discount Offer via the relevant registration page before making payment. The Instant Discount Offer will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis according to the actual chronological order of eligible transactions. Once the quotas have been utilized, the Instant Discount Offer for the relevant Promotion Period will end without prior notice. Successful registration and activation of the Promotion eligibility do not guarantee or reserve an offer entitlement. Due to factors such as high transaction volumes, network delays or system updates, the remaining quotas displayed on the registration page are for reference only.
To be eligible for the UnionPay Instant Discount Offer, cardholders must use an eligible UnionPay Card that has been successfully registered for the Promotion to settle the relevant transaction in full in Hong Kong dollars via the UnionPay network.
The Offer is not applicable to transactions made via Weixin Pay, WeChat Pay, Alipay or AlipayHK.
When making payment for a flight ticket booking, the Hong Kong Express payment page will not display the actual amount payable after the UnionPay Instant Discount Offer has been applied. Upon successful completion of an eligible transaction and application of the Instant Discount Offer, UnionPay International will send a payment notification to the mobile phone number registered with the card-issuing institution for the relevant UnionPay Card, which will include, but is not limited to, the actual payment amount and the instant discount amount. The actual payment amount shall be subject to the debit record of the card-issuing institution.
In the event of a refund, pre-authorisation reversal, transaction cancellation or any other reversal transaction, only the amount actually paid by the cardholder will be refunded, excluding the Instant Discount Offer already enjoyed. The corresponding Offer entitlement will be deemed to have been used and will not be reinstated or reissued.
All timestamps and transaction information of this Promotion, including but not limited to the transaction date, transaction time, transaction amounts, reversal, revocation, cancellation or refund, shall be based on the UnionPay's system records.
Cardholders participating in the Promotion must not engage in any improper conduct, including but not limited to conducting fictitious transactions, participating in the Promotion for the purpose of making unlawful gains, improperly using multiple accounts to participate in the Promotion, fraudulently obtaining promotional resources from UnionPay International or Hong Kong Express, or obtaining the Offer by any other improper means. If a cardholder is found to have breached these terms and conditions or engaged in any fraudulent or deceptive conduct, UnionPay International and Hong Kong Express reserve the right to disqualify the cardholder from participating in the Promotion. UnionPay International also reserves the right to withhold the Offer, recover any Offer already provided, and decline to allow the cardholder to enrol in any UnionPay International promotions in the future.
Hong Kong Express is responsible for the provision of flight tickets and related airline services. Matters relating to ticket purchases, ticket issuance, ticket refunds, ticket changes, flight arrangements and air transportation are subject to the relevant terms and conditions published by Hong Kong Express. UnionPay International is not the supplier of the relevant flight tickets or airline services and therefore accepts no liability for any products or services provided by Hong Kong Express.
In the event of force majeure, changes in circumstances, suspension due to system or communication failures, commandments from the government or competent authorities, or any other circumstances beyond the control of UnionPay International and Hong Kong Express, which make it difficult to continue the Promotion, UnionPay International and Hong Kong Express reserve the right to adjust, suspend, or terminate the Promotion to the extent permitted by law, and shall not be liable for any related loss or liability.
UnionPay International and Hong Kong Express reserve the right to modify, extend or terminate the Promotion, and to amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice to cardholders, and do not assume any liability arising from any changes, extension or termination.
By participating in the Promotion, cardholders are deemed to have carefully read, understood, accepted and agreed to comply with all terms and conditions of the Promotion.
In the event of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
