UnionPay credit cards are available on Amazon.co.jp

After Amazon.com has accepted UnionPay credit cards, UnionPay International announced today that UnionPay credit cards are available on Amazon.co.jp too. From now on, customers may easily shop on the website by paying with UnionPay credit cards (card number starting with 62) issued worldwide, enjoying more secure and convenient payment experience.

It is quite convenient to pay with UnionPay cards at online merchants. Now, more than 10 million online merchants based outside mainland China accept UnionPay. UnionPay’s online acceptance network not only meets customers’ shopping demands, but also offers featured services in fields such as tuition payment and airline ticket booking. For instance, more than 2,000 educational institutions outside the Chinese Mainland accept online tuition payment with UnionPay cards, and the official website of about 40 international airlines support UnionPay Online Payment. Latest data show that the cross-border online transaction volume of UnionPay almost tripled, meaning that more and more global cardholders are paying with UnionPay cards online.

From now on, another renowned online merchant starts to accept UnionPay. Amazon.co.jp is a shopping website favored by customers worldwide, especially the Asian customers. Now, UnionPay credit cards are available on the website. This on the one hand makes it easier and safer for UnionPay cardholders to shop on the website, on the other, improves UnionPay’s online and offline service system in Japan, while helps the local online merchants to attract more clients.

After selecting the products they want to buy and inputting delivery address, customers are able to choose UnionPay credit cards as the payment method.
