ATMs of CB Bank, KBZ Bank and UAB bank accept UnionPay cards. Due to the operation system problem of our partner institution in Myanmar, UnionPay cards are temporarily unavailable for cash withdrawal at ATMs in Myanmar, except CB Bank, KBZ Bank, MAB Bank and UAB Bank. We will recover the service as soon as possible. Now, UnionPay cards are accepted at almost all POS terminals in Myanmar. UnionPay cardholders may pay directly with UnionPay cards.

  • POS acceptance

    Merchants with the signage of  or  all accept UnionPay cards, mainly located in Yangon and other famous tourist destinations. Since that some of the merchants have yet to put up the UnionPay signage, cardholders may show their UnionPay cards upon the till and inquire about UnionPay acceptance.

  • Cash withdrawal
    ATMs of AYA Bank, CB Bank, KBZ bank, MAB bank, MOB bank, Tun bank  and UAB bank accept UnionPay cards.. There are the following signage on the ATMs or the ATM screen:

    Please refer to the latest government policy on overseas cash withdrawal via UnionPay cards at "Help Center-Card-using Instructions-Refined Card-using Tips".The daily accumulative withdrawal amount of each UnionPay card shall consult the issuer. Some domestic issuing banks may limit the amount of cash withdrawal per time. Please consult the issuing bank for more details. The cap of cash withdrawal per time is 300,000 MMK

  • Charges
    ATM commission fee consists of two separate fees: 
    (1) Service fee charged by the issuer: please consult your issuer for details.
    (2) Service fee charged by the ATM acquirer in Myanmar: some ATMs will charge commission fee, which is charged by the local banks in Myanmar and which has nothing to do with UnionPay or the issuer.

    Cash withdrawal via debit card results in a lower commission fee.
  • Tips
    Select PINs that cannot be easily guessed by anyone.
    Never disclose your PIN to anyone who claims to represent the bank or the police.
    Be alert to your surroundings before conducting any banking transactions.
    Keep a close eye on your credit card during transaction to avoid any illegal activities.
    If your UnionPay card has been stolen/lost, please inform the issuer immediately.
