In Micronesia, all ATMs owned by Bank of Guam, Bank of Hawaii , First Hawaiian Bank and Bank of FSM accept UnionPay card.

  • Micronesia – Empire of Tuna
    As an island nation on the West Pacific belonging to Caroline Islands, Micronesia is one of the three archipelagos on the Pacific. Micronesia is composed of 607 islands having Ponape being the largest one, where its capital Palikir is located. Micronesia is characterized by large marine area, abundant fishery resources, and particularly, known for tuna, a famous producing area of tuna in the world. In addition, Micronesia also possesses luxuriant tourism resources and beautiful tropical scenery. Why not take your UnionPay card (card number starting with 62) to glut yourself in the “Empire of Tuna”.
  • Cash withdrawal
    Currently, all of the ATMs of Bank of FSM in Micronesia accept UnionPay card for cash withdrawal.

    Help Center-Card-using Instructions-Refined Card-using Tips". Pleaseconsult with your issuer about a possible cap on the amount of cash withdrawneach time imposed by your issuer. Some ATMs have withdrawal limits, too. Inthis case, please split into several withdrawals provided that the total amountdoes not exceed the daily limit.
  • Charges
    ATM commission fee consists of two separate fees: 
    (1) Service fee charged by the issuer: please consult your issuer for details.
    (2) Service fee charged by the ATM acquirer in Micronesia: some ATMs will charge commission fee, which is charged by the local banks in Micronesia and which has nothing to do with UnionPay or the issuer.

    Cash withdrawal via debit card results in a lower commission fee.
  • Tips
    Select PINs that cannot be easily guessed by anyone.
    Never disclose your PIN to anyone who claims to represent the bank or the police.
    Be alert to your surroundings before conducting any banking transactions.
    Keep a close eye on your credit card during transaction to avoid any illegal activities.
    If your UnionPay card has been stolen/lost, please inform the issuer immediately.
