In San Marino, UnionPay cards are accepted at specialty stores most frequented by tourists.
  • San Marino – Country in Country
    As the “Country in Country” within the territory of Italy, San Marino ranks to be the third smallest country in Europe.   • POS acceptance
    Merchants with the signage of all accept UnionPay cards, mainly located in Dogana, a city in the northeast of the country. Merchants accepting UnionPay cards include ENJOY, which is on the second floor of Atlante, a large shopping mall on the border between Italy and San Marino, and POWER ON, a igital products store. Since that some of the merchants have yet to put up the UnionPay signage, cardholders may show their UnionPay cards upon the till and inquire about UnionPay acceptance.

    When using co-branded cards, you are advised to choose UnionPay as the routing option to be benefited from the special offers and services provided by UnionPay.

    Note:Some UnionPay card acceptors or acquirers route co-branded cards  to corresponding card shcem according to the card BIN, which means co-branded cards transactions aren't routed to UnionPay without selection by cardholders and merchant cashiers.     ATM commission fee consists of two separate fees: 
    (1) Service fee charged by the issuer: please consult your issuer for details.
    (2) Service fee charged by the ATM acquirer in San Marino: some ATMs will charge commission fee, which is charged by the local banks in San Marino and which has nothing to do with UnionPay or the issuer.

    Cash withdrawal via debit card results in a lower commission fee.
